Review the spelling patterns for the long-vowel |ū| and |ü| sounds.

Review: |ū| |ü|

 

I – VI REVIEW the |ū| sound with the silent e, ew, and ue spelling patterns, as seen in cube, cue, few, and feud, and the |ü| sound spelled oo, ue, u, silent e, and ew, as present in moon, blue, flu, rule, and new.

 

The oe spelling pattern of shoe will be introduced in Lesson 70. Words like beauty, view, milieu, and lieutenant will be covered in Lesson 89. We are learning one pattern at a time.
